We received a call from a lady in Tucson who had found this dog as a stray.  We went and picked up the dog, and he was nearly bald with mange.  The mange took over his whole body, except for his head.  His nails were growing into the pads of his feet, he had pustules all over his body.  He had double ear infections also.  Plus he was only 9 months!

He didn't know there was anything wrong with him.  He  jumped right in the back of my car, like he knew he was going to a better place. :)  He was named "Monkey" right away.

He spent the next few months with me, and became great friends with my 2 bulldogs. They loved him, and knew he needed a friend.

He got better every day, he even went to Las Vegas with me!  He was quite the star of the house.  It broke my heart in a million pieces to know I would have to let him go at some point, but when I met Scott and Nancy and their family, I knew it was right.  They bonded right away.

Here is a story of how this dog is now giving all of his love back to people he feels needs it.

"The Power of LOVE!"

From Sid's new family.....

(formerly known as 'MONKEY")

"Just wanted to share a great story and some pics with you.  Our very close friend was recently diagnosed with bone cancer.  She and her family always spend Christmas Eve with us.  This Christmas Eve she was a little under the weather and pretty tired due to her recent start with Chemo.  She came anyway and fell asleep on the couch.

Well, as you can see from the  pictures, Sid took  it upon himself to take her under his wing.  He laid with her (and on her) the whole night like he knew exactly what she needed....some lovin.

Everyone was taking pictures, he was famous.  Anyway, I wanted to share the story with you as I know that you know what a special dog he is.  We love him to pieces!  He is doing so great and has the cutest personality.  More hair every day too!  He and the other dogs are doing well too.  When all four of them get going with a couple of toys.....look out!  They run around crazy and then Sid sleeps for a few hours!

That boy is special!  We're so grateful that you thought of our family when you rescued Sid.  He fits in so perfectly with our family of people and dogs!  Think, he gets totally loved on every day by six humans!  (Plus the many visitors that we have coming and going.)  We'll keep you posted on Sid.  I have a feeling that there will be many more stories to come.

Congratulations again to Sid from all of us at Love-A-Bull Rescue.  We knew this dog would bring so much joy to so many people,  as he brought so much joy to us when we had him.
