Lola's Birthday Cake

 

 

 

 

  • 1 1/2 cups All-Purpose flour or wheat flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp. Baking powder
  • 1/2 cup Margarine, softened
  • 1/2 cup Corn oil
  • 1 Jar strained beef or liver baby food (2 1/2-ounce)
  • 4 Eggs
  • 3 Strips dog beef jerky, crumbled (optional)
  • Plain yogurt (for dogs) or cottage cheese (for dogs or cats), for icing

Directions:

Sift flour and baking powder together; set aside. In large bowl, with electric mixer at medium speed, cream margarine until smooth. Add corn oil, baby food and eggs; mix until smooth. At low speed, gradually beat flour mixture into beef mixture until batter is smooth. Fold in beef jerky. Pour batter into well-greased and floured 8"x5"x3" loaf pan. Bake in a preheated 325F. oven 70 minutes. Let cool on wire rack a few minutes before removing from pan to cool completely. Ice each slice with yogurt or cottage cheese for dogs, or with cottage cheese for cats. Yield: 1 (8") loaf cake.

 

 

Peach's Pumpkin Pops

Mix 16 oz non fat Yogurt with 2 cans (1 lb) of Pumpkin (not pumpkin pie filling). Freeze in mini muffin cups.  Serve and enjoy!

 

 

       

 

 

Lovely Lil's Casserole

   

1/2 lb. ground beef (OR turkey, chicken, lamb)
1/4 cup cooked rice
one small potato
1/2 carrot
1/4 cup greenbeans (about 5-8 beans)
1/4 tsp. garlic powder


Brown the meat in a pan. When completely cooked, drain the fat. Add the cooked rice; mix well. Set aside.

Cut the potato, carrot, and beans into small bite-sized pieces. Place in a pot with water; bring to a boil. Simmer until veggies are tender (about 15-20 minutes). Drain. Add the vegetables to the meat mixture. Add garlic powder; toss thoroughly under low heat. Let the dinner cool thoroughly before serving to prevent burning.

 

 

        Angus' Awesome Bananas

 

1 egg
1c fast-cook oats
1/2 banana
1/3c milk
1/2c all-purpose flour
1/8c rice


Squash bananas, and beat the egg. then spread evenly on a plate.
Next, heat in microwave for 3 and 1/2 minutes. when done, let them cool.
Then cut and serve.

 

 

 MULLIGAN'S CHICKEN AND RICE BISCUITS

 

 

 

  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 pound ground chicken
  • 1/4 cup finely diced celery
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 4 cups whole wheat flour
  • 2 cups cooked brown rice
  • 4 tablespoons dried sage

directions:

  • heat vegetable oil in skillet over med to high heat.  Add chicken and celery and cook, stirring often, until meat is longer pink...should be approx 4 mins.
  • place chicken and celery, including oil, in blender with chicken broth.  PURE'E
  • roll out dough on floured surface to about 1/4 inch thick.  using a cookie cutter, cut into shapes.  combine dough scraps and continue until all dough has been used. you may need to keep adding flour to get them to cut easy.
  • place cookies on ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 325 degrees for 30 minutes.  turn off oven and let cookies dry in oven for about 3 hours. 
  • makes approx 5 dozen cookies

 

 

 

  Birthday treat SNICKERDOODLES

 

 

 

  • 5 cups all-purpose flour
  • One 25 oz. jar applesauce
  • 2 cups old fashioned oatmeal
  • 4 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 tbsp honey

 

directions:

  • place all ingredients in a large bowl and mix.
  • roll out dough on floured surface to approx 1/4 inch thick.  cut into shapes using a cookie cutter.
  • place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 325 degrees for 35 minutes.  makes 5 dozen cookies.

 

Slim and Double's favorite meatloaf:

 

  • 2 pounds ground meat
  • 1 c cooked oatmeal (you may also use brown rice)
  • 3/4 c flaxseed meal
  • 1/2 c parsley chopped fine
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 2 c frozen organic vegetables  (peas, carrots, corn, potatos... NO onions)

 

Preheat oven to 350. Mix all ingredients together with your hands.  Transfer the mixture to a loaf pan. Bake for 1 hour.
